Randonee Ski Racing

Ski mountaineering, or randonee ski racing, hugely popular in Europe, is rapidly growing in North America.  Ski Mountaineering combines the need for aerobic endurance and technical alpine skiing skills in a beautiful yet demanding back-country environment.

From the beginner to the seasoned ski mountaineer, we offer three basic ways to assist athletes: one-on-one premium coaching, custom training plans and pre-built training plans & downloadable training articles.

Premium one-on-one coaching is the highest level of service available.  Here an in depth athlete interview, unlimited personal contact and frequently revised training schedule allow athletes to reach their maximum potential.  While new to the Rando Racing scene, BPN Coach Danny Suter has many years experience backcountry and big mountain skiing, a wealth of endurance competition and years coaching adventure athletes for all manner of competition.

In addition to one-on-one coaching, Danny can develop 12-week custom plans.  This service lies between premium coaching and a pre-built plan.  There is plenty of communication up front to gather athlete history & goals, a 12-week plan is customized and then delivered via a web-based tool.  Please see Danny’s bio for more information on his background services and rates.

Lastly, BPN offers pre-build training plans for racers preparing for the COSMIC Ski Mountaineering racing season, some training articles and tips available for download, and links to racing information (see below).

Rando racing is demanding sport.  It requires high end fitness, big mountain skiing skills, efficient skinning technique, wise gear choices, and practiced transitions.  Let BPN coaching or training plans help you prepare for this years season.
