Endurance Coaching

Athletes of all levels are reaping the benefits of having their own coach.  Having your own individual coach that understands your goals, strengths, and limitations takes the uncertainty and guesswork out of training.  Your training plan will be customized just for you.  At Boulder Performance Network, coaches have first hand experience in the sports they coach as well as education and certification in training methodology.

Individualized programs are created for each client.  While different levels of coaching are available, the basic ingredients are:

  • Initial coach/athlete one on one consultation to discuss past training and experience levels
  • Goal setting and a periodized training program to achieve those goals.
  • Determination of training zones for each athlete
  • Detailed daily workouts designed specifically for each client’s goals and experience level.
  • Interaction with a coach in person, by phone and/or via email
  • Review of athlete’s workout diary as needed
  • Guidance on ride/race strategies, mental preparation, equipment, and proper ride and recovery nutrition.
  • Monitoring of stress factors related to illness, injury, mental stress, etc, and revisions in training plans if warranted.
  • Strength and flexibility workouts prescribed when needed.

We coach athlete in of all levels from first timers, to elite amateurs.  Regardless of your goals, a well designed training program implemented with guidance from a professional coach will help you increase performance and reduce the risk of injury and over training.  Further more, if one of our coaches can help you, we probably know one who can.

  • Ski mountaineering (rando racing)

Generally, there are two coaching programs available to assist athletes: one-on-one premium coaching and 12-week custom training programs.  Both programs are totally customized for each athlete.  The main difference is that the one-on-one coaching provides continuous unlimited communication and training plan revisions where as the communication and plan writing center at the beginning of each 12-phase of training.
