BPN Racing Teams

BPN Racing Team: Road Cycling, Mountain Biking & Multisport

BPN TEAM MISSION STATEMENT: Contribute to the development and enjoyment of competitive road cycling, mountain biking, and multisport racing with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship and passion.

BPN Team History: We began racing in 2005 with a dozen elite, amateur athletes focusing on endurance mountain bike racing and single speed cross-country. In 2006 the team expanded to include a broader range of mountain bike racers and a road racing team in both Maters 35+ and Masters 35+ cat 4. In 2007, an elite level Multisport team was added focusing on adventure racing. Meanwhile, both mountain and road teams continued to expand including the introduction of a Masters 45+ team. Over 60 athletes raced on various BPN teams in 2007.

BPN Road Cycling Team Philosophy: The philosophy behind our road racing program seeks to find a balance between our passion for road racing, team tactics, the camaraderie of riding & racing and the reality of busy lives. Our philosophy is to acknowledge the reality that we’re amateurs but not embrace it. Cycling is a team sport, and being part of a team requires some commitment. We focus on a core group of riders that are interested in cycling from that team perspective. Riders that are interested in making an effort to train together, to work on tactics and, come race day, realize that being part of a team effort will only increase our chances for success. In other words, we believe the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

BPN Mountain Biking Team Philosophy: The focus of the BPN mountain bike team is to have fun and race our bikes. We strive for excellence on the bike, and graciousness in both victory and defeat. The team is also an opportunity to foster friendships and celebrate each other's successes.

Multisport : The objective of the BPN multisport team is to win the Gravity Play Adventure X-stream Adventure Race Series. The BPN multisport team roster includes elite Front Range talent, highly focused on this very competitive series. The philosophy boils down to racing as hard as possible while enjoying the experience and camaraderie of the AR community.

Development: All BPN teams have a strong culture of developing new competitors. One aspect of our team mission is that team members share their experience and knowledge with developing racers.

Sportsmanship: Whether in training or racing, BPN officially requests that all BPN team members treat their fellows with great kindness, consideration, understanding and compassion. We seek to be the nicest, most law-abiding athletes on the road or trail.

Eric Ray: Eric has raced his bike for a long time.

Danny Suter is one of the most experienced and skilled endurance coaches in the multi-sport business. I highly recommend his training programs for adventure athletes of any level or for people wanting to hone their skills or fitness.
