Resolve NOT! Do! Act! Live! BE!!!!!!

re·solve

[ri-zolv] Show IPA verb, -solved, -solv·ing, noun, verb (used with object)

  1. to come to a definite or earnest decision about; determine (to do something):

I am NOT a big fan of resolutions in general and New Years Resolutions really bug me.  The only New Years resolution that ever worked out for me was when I resolved never to make another new years resolution again!

Maybe its more accurate to say that I am not a big fan of STATING a resolution based on some very arbitrary timing (New Year’s) and the pumping it all up to mean something … special??

I am not a Christian, but there was this carpenter who once said, let yes be yes and no be no … or something like that.  One ought to be able to make a choice … or make a decision …. hell, even make an EARNEST decision regardless of what time of year it is.

Now to the rest of my point, when it comes to health, wellness and/or fitness, a resolution won’t get you jack.  It is the actions and behaviors you take day in and day out that deliver the results you seek.  The real magic lies in persistent effort over time – a long time – maybe even a lifetime.

And that’s why a healthy and fit LIFESTYLE is the key rather than a diet or a workout program.

So if you want to get fit, train.  If you don’t know how to train, get a coach or read a book.  If you want to loose weight, eat better.  If you don’t know what that looks like, get help.

In the end, nothing happens until you live it!  So, go live it.  And while you are at it, LOVE IT!!!!!!
